The package includes:

  • Bilingual Trip Escort to make everything runs smoothly (also includes liability insurance fees)
  • Pre-trip presentation with brochures, videos and pertinent information such as what to take, national holidays and tours
  • Roundtrip airfare from Buffalo to Mexico City, Mexico on major carrier with same dates
  • Airport Transfers from Mexico City to Cuernavaca by bus
  • 2 weeks of Spanish School , with daily (Mon-Fri) language classes
  • (4 hours daily) in small groups-maximum 5 students per class
  • All books and materials
  • Conversation Exchange- program that lets students practice Spanish with Mexican students wishing to improve their English for and additional one hour per day
  • Daily cultural classes (2 hours daily, Mon-Thurs): choose from weaving, regional cooking, ceramics, music and/or dance
  • 2 weeks homestay with Mexican families. Students will be placed with an individual family to ensure maximum opportunity to practice the language (unless requested)

ITINERARY CUERNAVACA PROGRAM

This itinerary includes: 15 days with 40 hours of Spanish classes, 10 hours of conversation workshops, & 16 hours of cultural workshops, along with a day tour to Taxco.

Day 1: Leave for Mexico City on major carrier. Arrive in Mexico City and transfer by private bus to Cuernavaca. Upon arrival, the families will be waiting to take students to their homestays. Free time to rest.

Day 2: Class begins today. In the morning we will have a short placement test and orientation at 8am. Class runs from 9am to 1pm , followed by a one hour conversation or grammar workshop. Return home for lunch and siesta at 2pm. Additional cultural workshops are offered in the afternoon from 4pm to 6pm.

Day 3: Class runs from 9am to 1pm , followed by a one hour conversation or grammar workshop. Return home for lunch and siesta at 2pm. Additional cultural workshops are offered in the afternoon from 4pm to 6pm.

Day 4: Class runs from 9am to 1pm , followed by a one hour conversation or grammar workshop. Return home for lunch and siesta at 2pm. Additional cultural workshops are offered in the afternoon from 4pm to 6pm.

Day 5: Class runs from 9am to 1pm , followed by a one hour conversation or grammar workshop. Return home for lunch and siesta at 2pm. Additional cultural workshops are offered in the afternoon from 4pm to 6pm.

Day 6: Class runs from 9am to 1pm , followed by a one hour conversation or grammar workshop. Return home for lunch and siesta at 2pm. This afternoon we will have a guided visit of the Regional Museum and the Palacio de Cortes at 3pm.

Day 7: Day trip to Taxco ! We will take a one-hour bus ride to this charming city known for silver. We will tour the twisting streets and then have free time for shopping and lunch. We will also ride the tram to get a great view from above before returning to Cuernavaca.

Day 8: Optional day trip here.

Day 9: Class runs from 9am to 1pm , followed by a one hour conversation or grammar workshop. Return home for lunch and siesta at 2pm. Additional cultural workshops are offered in the afternoon from 4pm to 6pm.

Day 10: Class runs from 9am to 1pm , followed by a one hour conversation or grammar workshop. Return home for lunch and siesta at 2pm. Additional cultural workshops are offered in the afternoon from 4pm to 6pm.

Day 11: Class runs from 9am to 1pm , followed by a one hour conversation or grammar workshop. Return home for lunch and siesta at 2pm. Additional cultural workshops are offered in the afternoon from 4pm to 6pm.

Day 12: Class runs from 9am to 1pm , followed by a one hour conversation or grammar workshop. Return home for lunch and siesta at 2pm. Additional cultural workshops are offered in the afternoon from 4pm to 6pm.

Day 13: Class runs from 9am to 1pm , followed by a one hour conversation or grammar workshop. After, we will have a short graduation ceremony . Return home for lunch and siesta at 2pm. We will have a guided tour of the cathedral today at 4pm.

Day 14: Another free day in Cuernavaca. Optional tour.

Day 15: After breakfast, head for Mexico City for the return flight.
