ITINERARY

Thurs, June 17: Leave for Lima. Arrival in Lima around midnight . Transfer to La Hacienda Hotel in Miraflores, Lima , in private bus.

Fri, June 18: Leave at 11am for the Lima airport to catch our plane to Cusco . Arrive in the early afternoon and transfer to hotel. Rest here to get used to the altitude. Eat a light lunch and dinner. (B)

Sat, June 19: Free morning. Tour of Cusco City and Surrounding Areas, visiting the cathedral, ruins and nearby towns after lunch. Welcome Dinner and Show with folkloric dance and music. Meet at the Plaza at 7pm. (B, D)

Sun, June 20: Full day excursion to the Sacred Valley and Pisac market, located in the Sacred Valley. (B, L)

Mon, June 21: Option to go to Tambopata Biological Reserve on the Amazon for 2 nights for approx, $400 per person, including flight, meals, tours, and jungle lodge.  
Otherwise, optional activities in Cusco include Spanish classes (4 hours), horseback ride, mountain bike to Incan ruins or exploring on your own the city with its markets and museums. (B)

Tues, June 22: Tambopata Amazon or Spanish class (4 hours.) (B)

Wed, June 23: Spanish class (4 hours) or return from Tambopata. Watch the parades and festivities surrounding the world-famous Inti Raymi festival in the Square. (B)

Thurs, June 24: Festival of the Sun, Inti Raymi. This festival takes up most of the day. We will bring box lunches. (B, L)

Fri, June 25: Machu Picchu Tour. We will go to the Ruins by bus in the morning. You will be on your own until lunch. We will eat at the Hotel at the ruins entrance at 12 noon. Then, we will have a tour of the ruins as a group and you will have more free time to explore the ruins or just relax. Dinner is on your own. Overnight here. (B, L)

Sat, June 26: Machu Picchu. For those who are interested, you can return to Machu Picchu again for a 2nd visit. We will need to be ready to checkout of the hotel at 2pm and return to Cusco via train around 7pm. (B)

Sun, June 27: Free day in Cusco. Final group dinner this evening. (B, D)

Mon, June 28: Head by train to Puno, located on Lake Titicaca. Overnight here. (B, L)

Tues, June 29: All-day tour of Puno and the floating villages. Overnight again. (B, L)

Wed, June 30: Leave Puno by plane back to Lima. We will have an day tour of this City of Kings before boarding the flight home. (B, L)

Thurs, July 1: Return home in the morning.
