16 day program for $3500 includes:

ITINERARY

DAY 1: Leave for Spain.

DAY 2: Arrive Madrid in the morning and transfer to the hotel.  Free time. Overnight.

DAY 3: Morning tour of El Escorial. Free time in Madrid this afternoon.

DAY 4: Leave Madrid and head to Toledo, a beautiful medieval city located an hour from the capital. Here we will do a bus tour, followed by a walking tour to see the cathedral, Goya’s house, etc. Then, we will head to Salamanca, where our families will be waiting.

DAY 5: We will have a placement test & a short orientation at the school. After, we will head home for lunch and siesta. Class begins at 4pm (to 8pm.) Then we will have a welcome party at the school with snacks. Return home for dinner.

DAY 6: Walking tour of Salamanca! We will visit the most important places in Salamanca, including the Plaza, the university, the “Casa de las Conchas” and other monuments from 10am to 12pm. Return home for lunch and siesta. Classes run from 4pm to 8pm.

DAY 7: We will have a Salsa dance class at 11am. Class today from 4pm to 8pm. After class, we will head to a welcome dinner by the river with typical paella, bread and wine.

DAY 8: Meet at the school at 11am for an excursion to La Alberca and Mogarraz, two very charming towns. We will spend time getting to know these historical monuments where life is still very traditional. Return to Salamanca in time for class at 4pm. Salsa dance class at 9pm.

DAY 9-11: Free weekend. Optional tours offered.

DAY 12: We will have a tour of the Cathedral in Salamanca at 10am. Return home for lunch and siesta. Class from 4pm to 8pm. Optional Salsa dance class offered after class.

DAY 13: Meet at 10am for a 2-hour film at the school. Lunch and siesta, followed by class from 4pm to 8pm.

DAY 14: This morning we will meet at 9am and head to Segovia. We will see the Roman aqueducts and El Alcazar. Try the famous “suckling pig” of Segovia. Then, we will stop in La Granja to see the summer palace and grounds before returning to Salamanca for class at 4pm. This evening we will go to the cinema to see a movie in Spanish!

DAY 15: Morning free to see one of the local museums, including the bullfighting or art museum. We will have a short graduation ceremony and then class from 4pm to 7:30pm, followed by a trip to Zamora. Here we will have a farewell dinner (included) with barbecued ribs, cheese, chorizo and sausages. 

DAY 16: Leave Salamanca very early by private bus for transfer to the airport in Madrid.
