Itinerary for WEBBER aCADEMY

Please always carry: an umbrella, rain poncho, a copy of your passport, your school supplies (books, notebook, dictionary, etc), camera, sweatshirt & your ID card from the CRLA.

Day 1: Arrive in Costa Rica in the evening. Transfer to nearby hotel.

Day 2: Trip to Arenal. Visit the gorgeous Tabacon Hot springs to see the active volcano at night. Overnight here.

Day 3: Arenal. Visit the rainforest and hiek to Fortuna Waterfall. Overnight here again.  

Class

Day 4: Arenal back to San Jose.  Meet the families.

Day 5: Orientation and Placement Test. Classes from 1-5pm, followed by Salsa Dancing.

Day 6: Butterfly farm tour. Class from 1-5, followed by Salsa dancing.  

Day 7: Cooking class at 11am, followed by lunch. Spanish from 1-5pm, followed by Salsa dancing. Then head to a beautiful restaurant in the hills overlooking the flights of San Jose for the Welcome Dinner with all-you-can-eat buffet and folkloric dance show. Return to the homestay about 11pm.

Day 8: Free morning. Classes from 1-5pm, followed by Salsa dancing.

Day 9: Volunteer activity with low-income children’s school. Class from 1-5pm, followed by Salsa dancing.

Cooking Class

Day 10: Overnight trip to the Punta Leona beach for fun in the sun!

Day 11: After more beach time, return to San Jose to the homestays.

Day 12: Visit “Amigos de las Aves”, a scarlet macaw breeding program. Then Spanish clases from 1-4pm, followed by music & conversation hour and then Salsa.

Day 13: Café Britt Coffee Factory musical tour in the morning.

Day 14: Then graduation ceremony around noon, followed by Spanish classes from 1-5pm and then Salsa class until 6pm.

Day 15: Early morning trip to the Caribbean Coast to the Tortuguero National Park.

Day 16: Another fabulous day of boat rides through the canals to spot animals and jungle hikes.

Day 17: After another boat tour early, return to San Jose for the last night with families.

Day 18: Leave for Canada early in the morning.

Buffet - This is another all-you-can-eat buffet at Tabacon Hot Springs Resort.

Tabacon View - The view from the water at Tabacon Hot Springs is Fabulous. The beatifully manicured gardens make you feel like you are in the middle of the forest. The active Arenal Volcano can be seen from here, too.

Tabacon Pool - The water in the series of pools is heated naturally by the nearby volcano.
